The Avon Lions Club's annual Pasta Dinner fundraiser is coming up on May 23, and proceeds will benefit the various causes that the Lions support.
The dinner will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Avon Senior Center, located at 635 West Avon Road. Tickets for the all-you-can-eat event are $10 for adults, $5 for children from five to 12 years old while children four or younger eat for free. In addition, people are encouraged to bring used eyeglasses, hearing aids and cellular phones to the dinner to be recycled.
The menu includes pasta, meatballs, salad, rolls, ice cream, juice, coffee, and tea.

Proceeds from the event will help charities, civic outreach organizations, and eyesight-related services at the local, regional, and international levels. In Avon, those include Avon Dollars for Scholars, the Avon Free Public Library, the town's social services department and Gifts of Love.
