Avon Man Arrested For Threatening, Assault, Held On $700K Bond
A local man was arrested for threatening and assaulting his wife and child, according to a report.

AVON, CT - An Avon man is being held on $700,000 bond on accusations that he assaulted his wife and child and threatened to kill them, according to a Hartford Courant story. Brendan McDonough, 40, allegedly sent a series of text messages to his wife, who he is separated from, in which he threatened to kill her and take the children.
McDonough has a history of mental health issues according to his attorney.

On Oct. 12, McDonough reportedly showed up at his wife's workplace and later went to her house where he assaulted her, the child, and a dog.
