
Anna Susan Harris, 74, of Avon, passed away peacefully Thursday August 31st, 2017, at Hartford Hospital with family by her side.
Born in Farmington on November 17, 1942, she was the youngest child of the late Joseph A. and Astrid (Benson) Harris. She was predeceased by a brother Ronald, sisters Astrid (Johansen), Patricia (Barnes), and Nancy (Wright).
She graduated from Farmington High School in 1960 then continued her education at Morse School of Business. She worked at Motorlease, Pratt and Whitney and Control Data. Anna was a wonderful artist and enjoyed rooting for the New York Yankees and UConn Women’s Basketball teams.

She had an extensive collection of teddy bears, Boyd bears were some of her favorites. She also collected Precious Moments figurines. Most of all she will be remembered as a dedicated aunt to her numerous nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews. She always found the perfect beanie baby for her family members when those were popular in the 1990’s.
She is survived by her brother Joseph and wife Marie of Vernon, sister Joan and husband Robert Rogers of Farmington and sister Andrea of Farmington; goddaughter Jennifer (Johansen) Damato of Deep River; family friend Susan Floridio of Avon and lifelong best friend Betty J. Miller of Glastonbury.

A memorial service will be held at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. James Parish, 3 Mountain Rd, Farmington.
