
Francis R. Aiello, 74, of Avon, beloved husband of Joan (Antink) Aiello passed away, Friday, September 23, 2016.
Born in Hartford, son of the late Guy and Antoinette (Yaconiello) Aiello, he was raised in Hartford and graduated from Weaver High School in 1960. He attended UConn and Morse School of Business and served in the CT Army National Guard for 6 years. He had been employed by Aetna's Group Finance Division for 35 years before retiring.
He and his family lived in Avon for over 40 years where he coached his sons basketball and baseball teams and was an active participant in his grandchildren's sporting activities. He enjoyed cooking for the holidays and especially welcomed the praise for his meatballs. He was a member and past officer of the Avon Fish and Game Club where he spent time with his best friend and fishing partner John Konefal. He was an avid UConn, Giants, and Yankees fan.

Besides his wife Joan, of 49 years; he leaves two sons Richard Aiello (Lisa) of Avon and Paul Aiello (Amie) of Bristol; four grandchildren Dominic, Taylor, Joey, and Zachary Aiello; his brother Raymond Aiello (Terry) of Decatur, GA; a sister Jo-Ann Regan of Avon; and several nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends Tuesday, Sept 27, 2016 from 9- 10:30 am at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 am at the Church of Saint Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon. Burial will follow in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery.
