Jo-Ann Theresa (Aiello) Regan, 68, of Avon, beloved wife of the late Michael F. Regan, III, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017.
Born on September 3, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Antoinette (Yaconiello) Aiello. While born in Hartford, Jo-Ann called Avon home for the majority of her life. She graduated from Northwest Catholic High School in 1967 and received her BA from Elms College in 1971. She went on to receive her MA in Special Education from CCSU.
Although Jo-Ann’s first job was a Contract Analyst for Aetna, her true career was spent as a Special Education teacher. She influenced the lives of many students during her time at Avon High School and even more at Grace Webb High School, where she worked until her retirement.

Jo-Ann was extremely devoted to her children’s activities; she was a cub scout leader and team mom to the various sports and activities her sons participated in. Jo-Ann and Michael could always been seen together in the stands cheering on their sons, rarely missing any of their sporting activities through college and beyond.
Jo-Ann took pride in her creativity and expression through cooking, gardening and crafts. She enjoyed woodworking, especially holiday pieces, and creating stained glass pieces as well. Through the years, Jo-Ann and Michael loved to travel with and without their sons. Jo-Ann looked forward to annual reunions in the fall with her Elms classmates and trips to Cape Cod in the summer to visit dear friends.
