Avon Obituary: Joan Miller, 69

Joan Miller, 69, of Palm City, Florida, formerly of Avon, beloved wife of Richard Miller, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016.

Born April 16, 1947 in Queens, NY, daughter of Dorothy (Kleinkauf) Schell of Flushing, NY and the late John Schell. Joan was a loving mother and grandmother and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was creative, artistic; loved to paint, knit and work on home design. Joan loved spending winters in Palm City, FL, summers on Cape Cod and the Farmington Valley held a special place during the holiday season.

Besides her mother and husband, Joan is survived by her three children, Rich Miller and his wife Sarah of Tampa, FL, Kerry Labritz and her husband Rob of Pound Ridge, NY and Kristin Miller of Woodstock, VT, her four grandchildren, Madison and Ethan Miller and Matthias and Ryan Labritz, her sister, Debbie Gaines and her husband Michael of East Meadow, NY, her brother John Schell and his wife Rosanne of East Windsor, NJ and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt., 4, Unionville on Wednesday (Dec. 28) from 9:30am – 11:00am followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home at 11:00am.
