Avon Obituary: Linda Flieger, 61

Linda A (Michaud) Flieger, 61, of Avon, passed away on November 26, 2016, in the comfort of her home with her loving husband, John (Jack) Flieger, by her side. Together they shared over 29 years of marriage.

Linda was born on April 13, 1955 in New Britain, daughter to the late Robert and Gervaise (Campbell) Michaud. She worked in human resources for United Technologies in various divisions and VNA Health Care of New Britain. Upon retirement, she went on to obtain her real estate license and began a career in the real estate business.

Linda enjoyed gardening and had prize-worthy rhododendrons; she loved watching the Food Network and was herself, a gourmet cook. The beach was her special place, and she and Jack took many memorable trips to the Caribbean.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by two brothers-in-law, two sisters-in-law, her five nieces and a nephew, and many beloved cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 1st from 5 to 7 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville. Funeral services will begin on Friday, December 2nd at 9 AM from Bailey Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 94 Broad Street, Plainville. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery in Plainville.
