Margaret M. Meade, 80, of Avon, beloved wife of the late Edward G. Meade, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2016.
Born in Queens, NY to John A. and Katherine Collins, she lived for many years in South Salem, New York before moving to Avon 12 years ago. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Beth A. Straubel and her husband Mark of Trumbull; son Edward G. Meade, II and his wife Erin of Maplewood, NJ and their children Simon, Margaret, and James Meade. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother John Collins.

Her family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18th from 3-6 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon. Friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday, December 19th at 9 AM followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 145 Main Street, Unionville.
