Avon Obituary: Michael Kachmar, 62

Michael D. Kachmar, 62, of Avon, beloved husband of Sandra (Bauer) Kachmar, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 12th, 2017 at his home.

Born February 21st, 1955 in Kingston, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Wallo) Kachmar. Michael was a Project Manager at Travelers Insurance Company and was a veteran member of the Avon Volunteer Fire Department.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters Lisa Dawson and Lori Gustafson, his grandchildren, Joshua Ellis, Sarah Padelli, Jeanie Dawson and Hayley Gustafson, his great-grandchildren, Ian and Niamh, his brother, Andrew Kachmar and his wife Donna, his sisters, Dorothy Lapasnick and her husband Robert, Marie Preston, Dolores Cooper and her husband Matt, Elaine Michaels and her husband Frank and Betty Ridolpho and her husband Paul and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St. Rt. 4, Unionville on Friday (Mar. 17) from 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Saturday (Mar. 18) at 9:15am followed by Funeral Services at 10:00am in Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Joseph Piccirillo officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Avon.
