Avon Offers Free Saturday Brush Disposal Through Early May

The Avon Transfer Station has waived brush disposal fees on select Saturdays in April and May; residency proof required.

AVON, CT — The Avon Transfer Station will waive brush disposal fees for residents on four upcoming Saturdays, according to an announcement from local officials.

The no-fee service will be available from 7:30 a.m. to noon on April 18, April 25, May 2, and May 9.

The program ends one hour before the 281 Huckleberry Hill Road facility’s regular closing time.

The waiver applies to both permit holders and non-permit holders, but proof of Avon residency is required.

Officials said commercial landscaping firms may participate only if accompanied by the resident who hired them.

Stumps will not be accepted.
