Avon Police Arrest Man for Indecent Behavior

A Winsted man was arrested Sunday morning after witnesses told police he was masturbating in his car in front of the Wal-Mart entrance.

Alexander Gailunas, 23, was charged with risk of injury to a minor, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana, public indecency and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension.

He was held on $10,000 bond, and was arraigned Monday in Hartford Superior Court.

Lt. Kelly Walsh said Gailunas’ vehicle was parked near the store entrance around 10:15 a.m., close to where five 10-year-old girls were selling Girl Scout cookies.
