Avon Police Collecting Old, Unwanted Medications Saturday

AVON, CT — Many area communities are hosting special drug take-back events this Saturday as part of National Drug Take-Back Day and Avon is no different.

The Avon Police Department on Saturday, April 27, will be at the Avon Senior Center, 635 W. Avon Road, Avon, to collect old, expired, or unnecessary medications.

Volunteers will be collecting those medications from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The goal is to keep controlled medications off the streets and safely dispose of them with minimal environmental damage.
