Avon Police Hosting Local Seniors With Annual Holiday Meal
The Avon Police Association is putting on the meal at the Avon Senior Center on Monday, Dec. 19.
AVON, CT — Avon police officers Monday are hosting a very special event for the town's senior citizens.
The Avon Police Association, which represents town officers, is sponsoring its annual Holiday Meal for all senior citizens in town.
The meal is at noon on Monday, Dec. 19, at the Avon Senior Center, 635 West Avon Road, Avon.
Food will come from the Beans & Pasta Co. and the meal is free.

"Come and spend time with our local police and enjoy a delicions meal together," reads an announcement on the event.
It represents a chance for local seniors to spend some time with the men and women who are charged with their community's safety.

"We thank the police association for caring about our older adults," reads an announcement.
While the meal is free, the hosts asks that seniors call the senior center at 860-675-4355 to sign up.
