Avon Recreation Forum Paves Way For Future Changes
Last week, the Town of Avon hosted its final public forum on future town recreation offerings, which is available for public viewing online.

Town of Avon
AVON, CT — Local officials said last week's second public forum taking a look at the town's future recreation offerings was a success.
But in case you missed it, you can watch the forum and again and, even, give the town additional input on what you want to see and do.

Last Wednesday, March 27, the town had the second public meeting on the Avon Recreation & Parks Master Planning effort.
The purpose of the meeting was to review the findings from the public survey and the other public engagement efforts undertaken in support of the plan.

"Many thanks to those who attended. Your comments and discussion were thoughtful and very much appreciated," wrote local recreation officials.
Looking ahead, the Weston & Sampson consulting team, in conjunction with town staff, will use the findings to develop recommendations to shape the future of the Avon Recreation & Parks department.
These recommendations will be presented to the Avon Town Council later this spring.
In the meantime, those with questions or comments can contact the Avon Recreation & Parks Department at avonrec@avonct.gov or 860-409-4332.
