Avon Residents Asked To Make Homes Energy Efficient

The town's clean Energy Commission is participating in a program where experts visit residents' homes to determine energy efficiency.

AVON, CT —Residents interested in finding out if their home is as energy efficient as it could be are being urged to participate in a new program to do just that.

The Avon Clean Energy Commission and its partner, New England Smart Energy, will host a virtual information session on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m. on the Energize CT Home Energy Solutions Program.

A letter below was recently sent to Avon residents via U.S. Mail regarding the program.

Residents are asked to come learn more about the program and the town's goal to help 100 households to participate in the program over the next 12 months.

Essentially, the program brings experts into participants' homes to conduct assessments of that home's energy efficiency and what can be done to improve it.
