Avon Residents Excel on Nationwide Tests
Five Avon residents are among the 51 students from Northwest Catholic High School to be named AP Scholars by the College Board.
West Hartford – Five Avon residents are among the 51 students from Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford to be named AP Scholars by the College Board. Kyle Brooks ’15 and Caitlin Nicholas ’15 were named AP Scholars with Honor. James Jordano ’15, Jessica Jordano ’15 and Ryan Sands ’15 were named AP Scholars with Distinction.
To be designated an AP Scholar with Honor, students must earn an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and a score of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams. AP Scholars with Distinction must earn an average score of 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and a score of 3 or higher on five or more of the tests.
Since 1961, Northwest Catholic’s mission has been to educate the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and soul. Enrollment for the Class of ’20 is now under way, and prospective students are invited to the Open House at Northwest Catholic on October 25, 2015.
