Avon School Chief Backs Interim Principal Despite Political References in E-Mail

The political references were included by mistake, he said.

AVON, CT — Superintendent of Schools Gary Mala on Tuesday gave a vote of confidence to the interim principal at Avon High School, despite an e-mail sent with political references included in error by Interim Principal Timothy Breslin, the Hartford Courant reported.

At Tuesday's school board meeting, he told the Courant the snafu was an honest mistake.

On Nov. 10, Breslin sent an email to parents of Avon High School students in an effort to provide them with a copy of remarks he made to students over the school's public address system.
