Avon Scouts Will Take Your Redeemable Bottles And Cans

AVON, CT — If you're looking to unload some of those bottles and cans following New Year's Eve celebration, all you have to do is let Avon Boy Scout Troop 274 help you out.

The troop is hosting a bottle/can drive at the West Avon Congregational Church, 280 Country Club Road, Avon, on Saturday, Jan. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon.

There, scouts will take those redeemable bottles/cans from your vehicle.

The event's proceeds will go toward local scouts' attending "High Adventure" trips this summer, according to an event flyer.
