Avon Tax Bills Can Be Paid, Viewed Online

With a new budget for 2024-25 now adopted by the town (despite three failed votes), people can now start paying their taxes online.

AVON, CT — With a budget now adopted by town officials despite rejection from the voters, taxpayers can now see what they owe online, town officials said Monday.

The Town of Avon said 2024-25 tax bills are now available online and can even be paid online.

"Please read and follow the steps listed on the Office of the Collector of Revenue's web page to navigate through the view/pay process," wrote the town.

"Please note that paper bills will be mailed out prior to the end of July. Bills will be due August 1st and payable by September 3rd without any penalty."

Despite three referendums this budget season rejecting town/school spending plans, Avon's town council earlier this month adopted the spending plan, something allowed in the town's charter after three failed votes.

That drawn-out budget process resulted in tax bills going out later than normal this year.
