Avon Theater Group Hosting Holiday Celebration
Playhouse 44 is hosting a night of music, comedy and holiday joy on Thursday, Dec. 12, with guests asked to bring donations for the needy.
AVON, CT — A local theater organization and furniture store are teaming up for a special holiday event next week that also promises to do good for the community.
Avon-based Playhouse 44 and Raymour & Flanigan are hosting "Sounds of the Season" on Thursday, Dec. 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the store, 15 Waterville Road, Avon.
The evening of holiday joy will feature various performances, from a choir, Christmas carols, sing-a-longs, comedy, delicious treats, and prize drawings.

While free, guests are invited to submit a donation to Playhouse 44, which is a nonprofit theater group only formed a year ago.
In addition, folks are being asked to bring non-perishable food and toiletries that will be delivered to local organizations that help people in need.
