Avon Town/Police Phone Lines Down After Storm

While routine calls are not working at the Avon Police Department or Avon Town Hall, 911 is still working as normal.

AVON, CT — Both town hall routine police department phone lines are down Thursday morning following damage from the overnight thunderstorms.

According to the Town of Avon, the phone system at Avon's town offices is down.

"Callers will be greeted with a voicemail message. If a party knows the 4 digit extension of the staff member or department they're trying to reach, they can dial it from the voicemail message and should get through," wrote town officials Thursday morning.
