Avon Trails Featured In Land Trust's New Guide Book

The new e-book was recently created by the Avon Land Trust and is available to current and new members.

AVON, CT — When the rain and mud of spring dries up to create improved hiking conditions locally, there's a new trail guidebook available to hikers courtesy of the Avon Land Trust.

All folks have to do is become members of the trust and support the local trail scene.

The book was authored by board member Jeff Grindrod and designed by Deirdre Tindall of Tin-Dall Creative Marketing.

It is an environmentally friendly e-book featuring full-color maps and images of Avon’s 18 land trust, town, and state hiking trails, and is available to all Avon Land Trust members.

The new Avon Land Trust Walkbook provides complete information on trail locations, parking areas, hiking loop options with distances and terrain descriptions noted, trail features and history, and detailed, easy-to-follow maps.

All members of the Avon Land Trust will automatically receive an e-copy of the new Avon Walkbook via email.

For those who are current members, a copy will be emailed to them when they make their electronic dues payment.

For those who prefer to make a donation via check, they should include an email address in the subject line and their e-book will be emailed to you promptly.

“We are fortunate to have some spectacular trails and natural parks here in Avon, and
the land trust is proud to have played a part in preserving and maintaining these spaces,” said Avon Land Trust Co-President Rick Dubiel.

“Now, our members will have an easy way to find and explore these spaces. We’re excited to see everyone out hiking soon.”
