Avon Updates Latest Info On Pandemic Funds

AVON, CT — The Town of Avon has created a webpage to provide the public with more information on the town's funding allocation plan under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

ARPA funds are federal government grants approved during the height of the pandemic and are aimed at helping municipalities cope with the high costs of dealing with the health crisis.

As of last week, according to the town, a total of $3,619,809 has been appropriated.

Town officials say they anticipate that two additional projects totaling $214,000 will be brought forward to the Avon Town Council and Avon Board of Finance for appropriation in October.
