AVON, CT — Town officials this week have announced that customers can, again, pay their sewer use bills online, one of four different types of bills that can be paid from home on their computers or electronic devices.

According to the Avon Collector of Revenue's office, residents can pay their real estate, motor vehicle, personal property and sewer use bills online.

The ability to pay online, however, does come with a fee, according to the town.

Avon officials said the fee for an e-check payment is 95 cents and the fee for a credit card payment is 2.95 percent with a minimum of $1 for tax bills and a flat fee of $8.95 for sewer use bills.

Those looking for immediate DMV clearance should not make payments online, as online payments for delinquent motor vehicle taxes will be released within 5-7 business days.
