Avon's 2024 Calendar A Perfect Stocking Stuffer ... And It's Free

AVON, CT — The latest holiday gift option available at Avon municipal offices might not endear you to loved ones if it is the sole present under the tree.

But, they do make nice stocking stuffers or accessory gifts. And they're free.

The Town of Avon announced Thursday that the2024 town calendar/2022-23 annual report is now available at various sites around town.

While the calendar portion of the 40-page document is self-explanatory, the annual report component is required so towns can publicly account for expenses from the prior fiscal year.

Such reports are often professionally produced and feature graphics and artwork to accompany the hard numbers regarding municipal operations.

Avon's calendar/annual report is no different, with various photographs of town landmarks sprinkled together with tidbits of municipal information, giving residents a handy dandy guide to how their tax dollars are spent.

As of Thursday, calendars/reports are available at Avon Town Hall, town manager's office, building no. 1; Avon Free Public Library; Avon Senior Center; and the Avon Landfill.

Those items are also available for public viewing online on the town's website.
