Avon's America 250 Effort Seeks An Official Logo Artist

The Avon America 250 Committee is conducting a logo contest to pick a logo for the town's America 250 events. The deadline is May 1.

AVON, CT — If you're patriotic and have a flair for art, the Town of Avon is calling for you.

The Avon America 250 Coordinating Committee is busy planning local events for the big 250th celebration events in 2026, but it needs a logo.

That's where you come in.

On July 4, 2026, the nation will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Founding Fathers' signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Artistic patriots have until May 1 to email their logo submissions to the committee, which will make a decision this year and the chosen logo will be the "official logo" for Avon's America 250 campaign.

"The logo should include the following: Celebration, Reflection, and Civic Pride," wrote the committee. "What does America mean to you?"

Whoever wins the contest will also win a gift certificate to the Seasons Restaurant & Tap Room at the Avon Old Farms Hotel.
