Avon's Good Friday Holiday Impacts Announced
Friday is Good Friday, with many municipalities recognizing the holiday that is part of Easter weekend.
AVON, CT — This weekend is another holiday weekend, with several Connecticut towns marking the Good Friday holiday as part of Easter weekend.
In Avon, all municipal departments will be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of Good Friday.
This includes the town offices, public works, the Avon Senior Center, the landfill, and the Avon Free Public Library.

The landfill will be open regular hours on Saturday, April 4.
The library will be open on Saturday, April 4, from 10 am to 5 p.m., and closed on Easter Sunday, April 5.

Avon Public Schools are also closed on Friday, April 3, with classes resuming as normal on Monday, April 6.
