A look at the postseason possibilities for Falcons basketball and the ice hockey co-op.

As regular season play on the ice and hardcourt enters its final weeks, two Avon High School teams are on the brink of qualifying for state tournament competition, while a third needs to get hot to make the dance.

Looking good

The Farmington Valley ice hockey co-op, consisting of Farmington, Avon, Windsor and Lewis Mills, stands at 7-5, and will automatically qualify for the Division II tournament with one victory in its final eight contests. The Generals are currently ranked ninth in D-II, despite losing four of their last five outings. Next: at NFA co-op, Wednesday, 5 p.m.
