Bears Spotted in Avon
Three bears were spotted near the Company Four fire station this morning.
A group of bears was spotted trying to get into a dumpster at the Company Four fire station on Huckleberry Hill Wednesday morning.
The Avon Volunteer Fire Department shared the photo of the three on Facebook.
“Warmer weather means the bears are back and they’re hungry. Experts advise residents to keep a safe distance and let them be,” the department wrote on Facebook.

A number of bear sightings have been reported throughout the state recently, including one near Southington that destroyed a bee hive to get honey.
