Boys U15 Avon Revs Win Connecticut State Cup Again
The Avon Soccer Club is again State Cup champions.

The Avon Soccer Club boys U15 team (The Revs) beat Weston in thrilling fashion to win another State Cup. Under the coaching leadership of Shawn Peter and John Muirhead, the gritty Revs scored with less than a minute to go in regulation to force overtime. In overtime the Revs scored early and dominated play to run out the clock.
\In a wild game that included late game heroics, overtime, multiple penalty kicks, a Weston coach ejected, and opposing players receiving multiple red cards, the Revs kept their composure and ground out a terrific win.
The boys celebrated their win with a November swim in the Farmington River.
