EXPERIENCE ITALY AT A GRAND ITALIAN FESTIVAL
Avon, Connecticut- Prince Thomas of Savoy (PTS), the Italian American Club, located in Avon, will host their fifth annual "Valley-Wide" Italian festival called La Festa Italiana. This two day event is at the club's facilities at 32 Old Farms Rd. Avon. The first day is Friday, September 12th 4 pm - 9:30 pm and the second day is Saturday, September 13th 12 pm - 9:30 pm.
"We would like to invite everyone to help celebrate our Italian heritage and fifth annual Italian festival," said Carmelo Mangiafico, Event Co-Chair.
This family- friendly event will feature a taste of Italy with locally made foods, cultural demonstrations, Free Live Music, Italian Car Showcase and contests.
Food booths will include Pizza from E&D Pizza, Fried Dough, cannoli, Italian cookies, meatball grinders, PTS Italian dipping oil and Italian ice. Italian coffees served by Coffeeology.
Activities on Saturday include a cheese roll contest, meatball eating contest and the great grape stomping contest as well as Limoncello and ricotta cheese making.

Live entertainment on Friday begins with Neal & The Vipers. Neal & The Vipers are in the Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame and have been performing high energy shows for over 30 years. Closing out the Friday Night Live music is The Savage Brothers Band, a staple in Connecticut and throughout New England since 1984.
On Saturday we will have a famous Italian dance group Sorelle D'Italia in America, Vittorio Di Carlo "The Graceful Tenor" and Ella Cristina and to finish off the night, the 10 piece classic rock band Johnny Six Gun.

Shuttle Bus information:
Parking is available at Residence Inn back parking lot on Ensign Drive. Friday 4 pm - 9:30 pm. Saturday 12 pm - 9:30 pm. The last bus leaves PTS at 9:45pm.
