Avon Volunteer Fire Department to Hold Annual 9/11 Memorial Service

On Friday, September 11, the Avon Volunteer Fire Department will gather with our community for our 24th annual 9/11 Memorial Service, honoring the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The service will include reflections from guest speakers with personal connections to the events and aftermath of September 11, along with the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, a moment of silence, the Firefighter’s Prayer, poetry, and musical tributes.

We invite our community to join us as we remember those who were lost, reflect on a day that forever changed our nation, and recommit to never forgetting.
