• Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade during the spring 2018 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction. Jordan Levine of Avon is a graduate of Avon High School and a member of the Colgate Class of 2018. Levine's current major is Economics. Tali Filstein of Avon is a graduate of Avon High School and a member of the Colgate Class of 2021. Filstein's current major is Biology. Caroline Schaefer of Avon is a graduate of Avon High School and a member of the Colgate Class of 2018. Schaefer's current major is Middle East and Islamic Studies.

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT

• Tunxis Community College in Farmington has announced the names of those students from Avon who have qualified for the Dean’s List for the spring 2018 semester. Students matriculated in a certificate or degree program who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher and have successfully completed 12 or more credits, or have earned 12 credits cumulatively over multiple semesters, are eligible for this academic honor. Avon honorees are: Aimee Allen, Zoe Blevins, Holly Coleman, Sofia Galli, Julian Hebert, Mehreen Jaffery, Elisabeth Kassel, Alexandra Lopez, Zachary Pena and Erin Wilson.
