• Bryant University extends congratulations to the Avon students who have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester: Alejandra Jaramillo, class of 2018; Matthew Reagan, class of 2018; Julia Setter, class of 2021; and Robert Zacchio, class of 2021.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University recognized the academic achievements of African, Latino, Asian and Native American students on May 5 during its sixth annual Inclusive Excellence Awards ceremony. Awards were given out and more than 200 students were recognized for achieving GPAs of 3.5 or higher.
  Monica Aldag of Avon was given the Academic Achievement Award. Aldag majors in General Studies.
