Asnuntuck Community College, Enfield CT

• Asnuntuck Community College has announced that Valerie Potanka of Avon achieved Dean’s List status following her spring semester of studies. Full-time students who are matriculated in a certificate or degree program and who have successfully completed 12 or more credits of work in a semester with a grade point average of 3.4 or above are named to the list. Part-time students who are matriculated in a certificate or degree program are also eligible for such recognition when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a grade point average of 3.4.

Clarkson University, Potsdam NY

• Three students from Avon have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester at Clarkson University. Dean's List students must achieve a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and also carry at least 14 credit hours. Peter Baczyk is a senior majoring in aeronautical engineering; Devin McKenna is a junior majoring in civil engineering; and Sophie Wirpel is a senior majoring in chemical engineering,

Hofstra University, Hempstead NY

• Zachary Zweibel of Avon achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring 2018 semester, earning a spot on the Provost's List at Hofstra University.
• Hofstra University congratulates the students named to the spring 2018 Dean's List for their outstanding academic achievement. Students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the semester to make the Dean's List. Students from Avon named to the Dean's List include Rachel Beauregard, Shaun Howes and Ujala Nigam.
