Belmont University, Nashville TN

• A pair of students from Avon achieved the Dean's List at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee for the spring 2018 semester. Local honorees are Regina Chappano and Christian Salhany. Eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality grade point average of 3.5 with no grade below a C. Approximately 30 percent of Belmont's 8,080 students qualified for the spring 2018 Dean's List.

University of Dallas, Irving TX

• University of Dallas student Dolores Mihaliak of Avon recently performed in the spring 2018 mainstage production of Anton Chekhov's "Cherry Orchard." Mihaliak acted in the role of Varya. The play, directed by Associate Professor of Drama Kyle Lemieux, ran April 4-14, 2018.
