"We are a quarter of the way into the 21st Century, and a health check-up on our planet is overdue. wrote the library in an announcement.
"Earth 2024 (E24) is that check-up, in the form of an original 65-minute multimedia presentation, with compelling imagery, an accompanying soundtrack, and live narration."

It is being presented by Ken Wolslegel, a 1987 graduate of the environmental earth science program at Eastern Connecticut State University.
He spent 12 years with various companies in the environmental consulting industry and then served as senior underwriter of pollution insurance lines at AIG.
Now he works as a freelance speaker and presenter on environmental advocacy.
"E24 takes a sweeping look at man’s 2.5 million-year evolutionary journey and the inadvertent environmental peril our modern lifestyles have created here on earth and what we must do to fix things," wrote the library.
