Child Injured After Fall From Scooter: Avon PD

AVON, CT — In addition to being in the crime-fighting and accident-investigating business, the Avon Police Department Thursday afternoon branched out into the information business.

The APD, citing "misinformation on social media," posted an update at about 1:45 p.m. regarding an incident involving a child who fell off a scooter and was hurt.

Contrary to reports another vehicle was involved in the accident, police said "there was no vehicle involved in the accident."
