Developer Charged With Larceny In Avon: Police
The embattled house builder is charged with fraudulently selling a home site, police said.

AVON, CT — Local police said they arrested an Avon developer on larceny charges related to the fraudulent sale of property for a residential site.
According to the Avon Police Department, William Ferrigno was charged with one count of first-degree larceny on Friday, Oct. 6.
Police said the charge is the result of a "thorough investigation" involving a piece of residential property "which was fraudulently sold to a victim" for $300,000.

According to police, Ferrigno was released on $75,000 bond and he will appear in court Oct. 18 at Hartford Superior Court, 101 Layfette St., Hartford.
Ferrigno owns Sunlight Construction in Avon and a message was left there seeking comment Monday afternoon.

According to WFSB Channel 3, Ferrigno has a history of issues with residential developments, namely some people are claiming that homes are not being built in a timely fashion or not at all, despite deposits being given.
Those developments, according to WFSB Channel 3, are in Avon and neighboring Simsbury.
