Downed Wires Close Avon Roadway Near School

AVON, CT — A portion of Old Wheeler Lane in Avon is closed Thursday due to downed wires, according to the Avon Volunteer Fire Department.

The road is closed between Camelot Lane and Roaring Brook School, the department announced on social media Thursday morning.

Drivers should avoid the affected section of Old Wheeler Lane while the closure remains in place.

The fire department did not immediately provide an estimated time for the road to reopen.
