Dump Your Bottles, Cans With Avon Scouts

AVON, CT — Avon Scout Troop 274 is inviting residents to donate redeemable bottles and cans during a fundraising drive scheduled for Saturday, June 6.

The collection will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at West Avon Congregational Church, 280 Country Club Road.

According to organizers, Scouts will unload redeemable bottles and cans from donors' vehicles, sort the materials, and prepare them for recycling.

The event is designed to provide a convenient alternative for residents who would otherwise return containers themselves.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support Scouts participating in high-adventure trips this summer.

Organizers said the drive is open to anyone wishing to donate eligible redeemable containers and help support local Scouting activities.
