Artwell Gallery's 16th Annual Juried Show

Artwell Gallery's 16th Annual Juried Show will debut on July 21 with an opening reception and awards ceremony from 6pm-8pm. The show, which concludes on August 19, will feature work in all mediums and be juried by Helen Kauder, executive director of New Haven's Artspace. Over $1500.00 in prizes will be awarded. Past sponsors of the juried exhibition have included The Borghesi Family, Founders Insurance Group, Litchfield Bancorp, The Nicholas Law Firm, Northwest Community Bank, The Staub Family, Torrington Savings Bank, Travel Daly, Carbone's Market, Jerry's Artarama, and Petrovits, Patrick and Smith.

Located 19 Water Street in Torrington, Artwell Gallery is an artist's collective that provides gallery space to exhibit contemporary works, offers education in the visual arts, and serves as a forum in which the role in the visual arts play in our society can be discussed and explored in order to promote a better understanding and greater appreciation of the visual arts by residents of Litchfield County and surrounding areas.

Artwell Gallery is open Wednesday through Saturday, from 12pm-5pm, or by appointment. The gallery will be open until 8pm on Thursdays starting July 26 and August 2, 9, and 16 during the Main Street Marketplace.
