A free opening reception for "Grounds for Sculpture," a juried show of diverse pieces sculpted by artists from Connecticut and beyond. Juror Anne von Stuelpnagel, who joined Greenwich's Bruce Museum in 1980 and serves as Director of Exhibitions for Fairfield County's premier art, science and natural history institution, selected works for the show based on their originality and execution. The exhibit in the Farmington Valley Arts Center's Fisher Gallery and outdoors on the grounds provides art enthusiasts and collectors with the opportunity to view--and to purchase--three-dimensional creations deemed notable by von Stuelpnagel, who oversees more than a dozen changing exhibitions annually.
The show will remain on view Wednesday through Saturday from noon until 4 p.m. through September 29, as well as by appointment.
