"Now Showing"... an Exploration of the Human Form by Four New England Women Artists

Our bodies: They astound and confound us, and our relationship with our physical frame is always a source of speculation and conversation. Four New England women artists examine the human form in dialogue-provoking ways at Avon, Connecticut's Farmington Valley Arts Center (FVAC), where "Now Showing," an exhibition of works in diverse media, runs through July 14.
Artists Melanie Carr, Deb Wadsworth, Jenny Walker and Heather Whitehouse explore the range of the human form in this show, which focuses on masking, contorting and distorting the physical, while also celebrating the ways in which our bodies define who we are. Admission to the exhibition is free.
Featured works, which range from paintings to headpieces, are for sale, and purchases support this non-profit cultural center, which provides arts-related programs and opportunities for thousands in Connecticut each year.
