Foreign Film Series Beginning at Avon Library

The Avon Public Library is pleased to announce a new foreign film and discussion series this fall.

The evening film series will be led by local film expert Bob Kagan, Professor of Communication at Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford.

Award-winning films from Brazil, Italy, Spain and Taiwan will be introduced and discussed by Kagan on four Thursday nights this fall, beginning at 6:30 p.m.:

Oct. 8
Butterfly, 2000, Spain
Rated R, 95 minutes, subtitled

Nov. 12
The Golden Door, 2007, Italy
Rated PG-13, 113 minutes, subtitled

Dec. 10
The Wedding Banquet, 1993, Taiwan
Rated R, 108 minutes, subtitled
