Free Avon Afro Dance Classes On Tap This Week

The free lessons for this unique art for are Thursday and Friday at the local library.

AVON, CT — Local residents this week will be able to enjoy a rather unique form of exercise at a special program at the Avon Public Library.

Free classes will take place on African-style dancing on Thursday and Friday at the Avon Public Library.

The classes are courtesy of Avon Afro Dance, which is led by local resident Jolie Cayer, who even has her own Facebook group dedicated to the art form.

Each day's classes are at 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the library, which is located at 281 Country Club Road.
