Gardening, History To Merge At Avon Event
The Garden Club of Avon on Monday, April 8, is hosting a special lunch program on 'Connecticut's Historic Gardens.'
AVON, CT — Gardening and history will merge at a special event Monday hosted by the Garden Club of Avon.
The organization for Avon's green thumbs will host a program called "Connecticut's Historic Gardens" on Monday, April 8, at noon at the Church of St. Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon.
There, the club will host Laurie Masciandaro, who is the site manager of Roseland Cottage, a picturesque history museum nestled in the northeast Connecticut town of Woodstock.

She will showcase the history of 15 Connecticut historical sites and the gardens that make them popular destinations.
The guest fee is $15 payable at the door (the program includes lunch) and reservations are required by e-mailing Jody Morgan at mrgnj3@aol.com.
