AVON, CT — The committee overseeing a foundation fund that doles out cash to various Avon causes is asking for the public's help next week and later this month.

The Avon Greater Together Community FundAdvisory Committee is hosting two special, virtual forums via Zoon where the public can suggest causes locally that could benefit and concerns that may need to be addressed.

It will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at noon and, later in the month, on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. virtually.

Specifically, the committee is looking for suggests that will help causes supporting five different components of life in Avon: youths; families; young adults; seniors; and the entire population.

Examples of what may need to be addressed, the committee wrote in an announcement, are challenges youth face in town or the cultural/recreational/transportation challenges facing local residents.
