Governor's Horse Guards Could Rein In Hartford's Mounted Problem: Report
The HPD horses could be boarded in Avon under a new proposal.

AVON, CT — An offer is on the table to house the horses from Hartford's mounted police unit at The First Company Governor's Horse Guards facility in Avon, the Hartford Courant reported.
The Horse Guard is a mostly ceremonial militia unit under the umbrella of the governor's office and the Connecticut Army National Guard.
Hartford's horse cops are in jeopardy of being dismounted because of the city's financial situation.
