****How can I get rid of latex and oil-based paint?****

In 2013, a Connecticut Law required the paint and coating industry to develop a financially and environmentally sustainable solution to manage postconsumer architectural paint. Under the new program, the paint industry has made paint recycling more convenient by setting up drop off sites throughout the state where consumers can take their paint. For drop off locations and program information, please go to: http://www.paintcare.org/connecticut/index.php

Paint can also be brought to the Avon Transfer Station, at no charge to the resident, through the Connecticut PaintCare program during normal business hours. Tuesday and Friday 7:30am – 2:30pm and Saturday, 7:30am – 1:00pm. No permit is required; however, you must show proof of residency.
